DRS received a $344 million U.S. army laser designator and sustainment contract

Melbourne, fla.-based DRS network imaging systems inc. has been awarded a total value of approximately 3. $4.4 billion fixed price contract.

It is understood that the first contract value of about 2. $3.1 billion from the army contracting command at Aberdeen proving ground, md. (w91crb-18-d-0021) for the purchase of lightweight laser pointer designator rangefinders; Location and funding will be determined on the basis of each sub-order with an estimated completion date of 5 September 2028.

The second contract is worth about 1. $1.3 billion awarded by the U.S. army contracting command in New Jersey (w15qkn-18-d-0096) for the procurement of maintenance, spare parts and support services for the fourth edition of light maintenance support equipment. Location and funding will also be determined on the basis of each sub-order with an estimated completion date of 6 September 2023.
