According to reports, in order to better meet the growing demand of users in the field of automation, Bystronic, a supplier of metal laser pointer cutting solutions, has announced that it has acquired a 70% stake in the automatic sheet metal processing specialist Antil. Through this acquisition of a majority stake in Antil, Baichao will be able to expand its existing technology and services in the field of automation. In addition, Baichao now offers complementary solutions for the loading and unloading of cutting systems, corresponding storage systems and services.
Since 1989, Antil has been developing automation solutions for the sheet metal processing industry, including loading and unloading systems for laser pointer cutting and punching, automated sheet metal storage systems, robotic assisted bending solutions, and customer service. The company employs approximately 110 people and Antil provides technical and system services to sheet metal processing customers. In 2017, the company’s turnover was approximately 18 million euros. Through this transaction, Antil is becoming an important part of the Swiss Baichao Group. At the same time, the Antil brand will continue to be retained.
Baichao is committed to research and development and sales of sheet metal processing systems. The company is headquartered in Niederonz, Switzerland. The other three R&D and production sites are located in Gotha (Germany), Tianjin (China) and Shenzhen (China).
