It is reported that the study of carbon nanoparticle’s luminescence mechanism and spectrum regulation are the difficult points in this field. Before 2013, the emission of carbon nanoparticles in the green light band was thought to originate from the surface defects of carbon nanoparticles, and this green laser pointer light source was considered to be difficult to achieve laser.
To this end, Qu Songnan’s team realized the regulation of the blue and green light emitted by carbon nanoparticles by regulating the nitrogen element in carbon nanoparticles, and observed the amplified spontaneous emission phenomenon of carbon nanoparticles in the green light band, and realized for the first time Optical pumping of carbon nanoparticles in green light.
Qu Songnan recalled: In that year, we verified through comparison tests that the carbon nano-particles have better light stability than traditional organic laser dyes, indicating that carbon nano-particles can be used as a new type of green with low cost, environmental protection and good light stability. The laser pointer material is expected to change the future lighting world.
Subsequently, Qu Songnan and his research team proposed the concept of “super carbon nano dots” for the first time in the world, and developed a water-triggered “nano fluorescent bomb” based on “super carbon nano dots”, making the carbon nano dot material a kind of New smart luminescent material.
