Corrosion of metals is a waste of resources, and the extent is very amazing. Among the corrosion of various metals, the corrosion of iron is the most serious. The annual steel loss due to corrosion in the world accounts for 1/5 to 1/4 of the total steel. At present, there are many researches on laser cleaning and rusting at home and abroad. Since the invention of the laser, the laser cleaning concept has been proposed. In recent years, research work on laser rust removal has been carried out in China and has made useful progress. The efficiency of dry laser cleaning is lower than that of wet cleaning. However, due to the introduction of liquid film in wet cleaning, the stability of the process is low, and the industrial application is not flexible enough. In this paper, from the perspective of the interaction between materials and laser, the influence of laser cleaning process on the corrosion removal of carbon steel plates is discussed, and then the practice is guided. At the same time, the development of green laser pointer for cleaning is explored.
