Velodyne laser radar sensor entered the aviation mapping market

Velodyne Lidar, which is based in monterrey, Mexico, recently announced that Techmake Solutions, S, a technology development company, is a Velodyne Lidar, maams consulting reported. A. The Velodyne lasaer pointer radar (LiDAR) sensor will be used in its Eagle X mapping and measurement system. Velodyne’s lightweight radar sensor delivers high-resolution imagery to the Eagle X UAV, enabling users to accurately measure and analyze any terrain.

The Eagle X system will be launched in 2019 to meet the needs of aerial mapping systems in the fields of geography, surveying, topography and natural resource management in Mexico, central and South America.

Ing, CEO of Techmake Solutions. David Gonzalez P. “Companies in our market have faced challenges using restricted mapping systems and we have turned them into opportunities for local innovation,” says Mr. The lidar mapping system we created integrates multiple hardware components, including the Velodyne sensor, with our software. The system, called Eagle X, makes it easier than ever to use lidar to move maps around the region.”

The Eagle X system can be customized to meet customer requirements for range, precision, weight, point cloud density and budget. Eagle X offers considerable ease of use because the system can be set up and operated from a smartphone, laptop or tablet. Eagle X provides these devices with live streaming images of the geographic reference point cloud, while generating and saving maps of the area. As Techmake extends Eagle X, customers will receive automatic updates in the future by connecting their systems to wi-fi networks.

Velodyne’s lidar sensor delivers the most accurate real-time high-resolution data in the industry. Its superior performance, lightweight, and compact shape helped us design easy-to-use systems that could be configured for the company’s specific mapping needs. “Eagle X addresses customer concerns about not being able to purchase lidar mapping systems or not being able to use them because of insufficient local support.”

Velodyne Lidar’s President and chief commercial officer Mike Jellen said, “industry leaders rely on Velodyne’s rich computer-aware data to deliver high-performance mapping systems in compact solutions. Techmake has developed a hard-earned reputation for excellence in providing custom projects, which is reinforced by the Eagle X’s excellent, user-friendly lidar mapping experience.”
