Us army develops ultrashort pulse laser weapon

According to foreign media reports, after 25 years of research and making ineffective “exotic weapons” enough to fill a museum, the pentagon developed the “scalable compact ultra-short pulse laser system” (SCUPLS).

The defense department’s non-lethal joint weapons agency (JNLWD) began a three-year project in September 2018 to eventually produce a viable non-lethal laser pointer plasma weapon. The latest addition to the broad list of laser weapons is the scalable compact ultra-short pulse laser system (SCUPLS), which will use the new short pulse laser.

Like PEP projectiles, the SCUPLS system is understood to be small enough to fit on light tactical vehicles, but it requires much more power than previous versions of laser weapons.

In addition, the SCUPLS system depends on how you adjust the Settings and has the ability to cause loss of vision and hearing, as well as the ability to cause fainting or burn.
