Personnel Remove The Horse Honeycomb With The Green Laser Pointer

On July 2, in the 110 kV high-duty line power channel, there was a large horse cell under an empty line crossarm. The Wuxi power supply company’s transmission personnel cleared it with the green laser pointer. This is the first time that the laser clearing technology has been applied to the power supply line in the Wuxi power grid.

It is reported that this kind of equipment is a remote re-wiping device for foreign objects in the grid, which consists of a laser launching gun, an operating platform and a manipulator. After the power transmitter aimed the laser gun at the horse’s cell, the button that fired the laser was pressed. In just two seconds, the horse’s honeycomb smoked white smoke. Within 10 seconds, the horse cells have all burned out.

The “laser gun” used on the power channel line has an effective range of 120 meters, which can protect the power line from the intrusion of floating objects and improve the reliability of power supply. With the “laser gun” device, the clearing work can also be completed under live conditions, reducing customer power outage time.

According to the Japanese “Military Research” report, Japan is considering the transformation of the “green laser pointer” on the basis of its domestic P-1 anti-submarine patrol aircraft, using a similar design of the American ABL fighter, the P-1 anti-submarine aircraft. A high-energy laser weapon is mounted on the head to shoot down the ballistic missile in the ascending section.

At present, Japan’s high-energy laser technology is developing rapidly, mainly using chemical laser, which uses a highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide and chlorine gas to chemically react to generate excited oxygen molecules, and then mixes with iodine gas to excite iodine molecules to emit photons, which ultimately produces laser light.

A set of high-performance infrared detection devices are installed on the back of the aircraft to detect and track the thermal characteristics of the missile’s tail flame and the projectile in the ascending section when the ballistic missile is launched.

Japan’s laser fighters are still in the early stages of demonstration, and there are issues such as the accuracy of infrared detection equipment to be considered.
