Display Technology Meets The Opportunity of Laser Pointer

Recently, the price of laser TV has been continuously updated. After the release of the 10,000-level 1080p laser TV (excluding the curtain), Hisense also released a 4K laser TV (including curtain) within 20,000 yuan. unstoppable.

Interestingly, while the size and price of laser TVs continue to drop, LCD TVs are steadily increasing in size, and prices are falling. Both are at the intersection of price and size, and laser pointer TVs are replacing large-size LCDs. Is the timing of the TV coming?

Display technology is showing a state of blooming, LCD, OLED, Micro LED, laser display, silicon-based OLED and other advantages have never been dazzling. When these display technologies coincided with the trend of large-scale TV, the advantages and disadvantages of different display technologies began to emerge, and laser display ushered in new opportunities.

At present, LCD TV is still the mainstream of the TV market. OLED and laser TV are rising stars, and there is a part of the laser pointer market share in the high-end market. The Micro LED TV is also unwilling to be lonely. From this year onwards, it will show its advantages of super large screen. The big screen market entered the Warring States era, and various display technologies wanted to gain survival opportunities. IHS China Consumer Electronics Research Director Zhang Bing pointed out that LCD TV size is limited by the upstream panel production line. Now the most economical cutting size of the 10th generation line is 60-inch and 70-inch panels. The most economical cutting size of the 10.5-generation line is 65″ and 75″ panels. Similarly, OLED TVs are also affected by the supply of upstream panels. It is difficult to break the size of 65 inches or more in the short term. Although the 8.5 generation line can theoretically cut 77-inch and 88-inch panels, the cost is very high. Therefore, LCD and OLED do not have the price/performance advantage in the oversized TV market.

Micro LED can theoretically be hundreds of inches, but the current technology is not very mature, the cost is very high, and it is temporarily unable to occupy a certain proportion in the oversized market.
