Mechanical Radar Laser Pointer For Autonomous Driving

For the automotive market, Rashen has now developed two series of Laser pointer products: C1 series and CX series Lidar. Among them, the C1 series is a TOF vehicle laser radar, which is designed using the TOF (Time of Fight) principle and performs 360 ° two-dimensional scanning detection on the surrounding environment.

This series of Lidar is divided into multiple models according to the detection distance. This series of products are mainly used in auto-assisted driving (ADAS) and unmanned driving. Used in conjunction with Raisin intelligent car-assisted driving software, it can realize vehicle forward distance warning, vehicle bilateral distance warning, vehicle steering blind zone warning, vehicle lane departure warning And other functions.

The product is manufactured according to the vehicle regulation level standard and has a high IP protection level. It can be customized according to different scenarios and user needs. Divided into different models, the measurement range of the product covers the range of 10m ~ 200m. The radar error is small, the entire data error is within ± 3cm, of which 70% of the data error is within ± 1cm, and 95% of the data error is within ± 2cm. The angular resolution is 0.18 °, and the Laser pointer can be customized according to user requirements.

CX series multi-line laser radar can scan and detect the surrounding environment in three dimensions. This series of laser radars are divided into 4 lines, 8 lines, 16 lines, 32 lines, and 48 lines according to the number of scanning lines. This series of products are widely used in fields such as automotive assisted driving (ADAS), unmanned driving, industrial automation, security, map mapping, disaster detection, scientific research and other fields.

The CX series is a traditional mechanical laser pointer radar. Currently, many companies in the industry are doing it. However, due to its complicated mechanical structure and high price, it is difficult to meet the requirements of vehicle regulations. Therefore, both OEMs and radar manufacturers have focused on the production of laser radars on solid-state Laser pointer radars.

Therefore, in pursuing the wiring harness of the mechanical rotating lidar, Rashen Intelligent did not follow the trend blindly, but set the upper limit of 48 lines.

Hu Xiaobo said that the 48-wire mechanical laser pointer radar used for autonomous driving can meet the requirements, and it is not of practical significance to blindly follow the trend and pursue too high a harness. Although mechanical lidar has its advantages and disadvantages, he believes that in the future, before solid-state radar technology is not mature, low-beam lidar will still have a certain market in limited scenarios.
