Vehicles that fail to meet environmental protection standards are forbidden to issue traffic safety driving permits. As of May 15, the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau regularly carried out supervision and enforcement and special rectification of 29 vehicle inspection lines in the city more than 50 times. The number of vehicles regularly tested for environmental protection in the city reached 321,800, including 50,488 diesel vehicles. The Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau and the public security traffic police implemented the “Environment-Response Interaction”, which did not issue traffic safety driving licenses for vehicles that did not meet environmental protection standards, and resolutely prevented high-pollution vehicles such as diesel vehicles from driving on the road with diseases and polluting the atmosphere.
Since April this year, the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, in conjunction with the public security traffic police department, has conducted spot checks on heavily polluted vehicles using laser pointers remote sensing detection equipment. Remote sensing sampling was conducted on and around sensitive points such as Shenying Street, Changqing Street, Daba Road, Dongling Road, and Wenda Road, as well as the main entrances and exits of the city, and a total of 2171 effective monitoring data were obtained. There were 134 vehicles exceeding the standard, and the standard exceeding rate was 6%. Relevant departments contacted the over-standard vehicle unit or driver to issue a notice of on-line re-inspection within a time limit, tracked the maintenance and annual inspection of these vehicles, and punished those who refused to make corrections and irregular re-inspection according to law.
