Ready To Ship Green Laser Pointer Radar Products Soon

Ghosting. DBF is sensitive to high-correlation signals, that is, DBF will enhance the noise generated by signals from multiple paths and generate ghosting. What innovations do green laser pointer radars have, especially in the automotive sector? First of all, this is a usual progressive project: Tier 1 and Tier 2 vendors focus on digging the limits of MMIC (monolithic microwave integrated circuit) technology. Real breakthrough innovations come from startups: we have seen novel technologies such as Luneburg lens antennas, new algorithms to suppress DBF interference, 3D printed arrays, and more. As we enter the era of smart radar, we expect more radar companies to emerge in 2018 and create more innovation. However, we expect that some will be fleeting, and some technologies will survive.

The frequency window from 76GHz to 81GHz is the first obstacle because it belongs to the millimeter wave category. Components and materials are not readily available, and off-the-shelf components have not been characterized. There are still many controversial issues to be resolved. However, we are good at solving this and other challenges, and we have made significant progress in a short period of time.

The obstacle to running at high frequencies is not a spoiler for us, and, in fact, it is actually a gospel; it makes it difficult for competitors to catch up and keeps us ahead. There are still some obstacles. We can’t talk about it at this early stage because we can’t reveal too much information about this platform, but all these obstacles can be solved. So far, nothing is insurmountable. We have just begun this exciting R & D journey. Although we started sailing at the beginning of this year, the green laser pointer radar products we are showing and will soon be shipping are all very exciting to foresee: In a few years, L4 and L5 autonomous driving will be realized on the road.
