German laser processing system manufacturer Jenoptik acquired 100% control of Otto Vision Technology and Ovitec in Jena, Germany, both of which are committed to quality assurance of optical 2D and 3D inspection systems. And process optimization, as well as complex imaging systems for green laser pointer part dimensioning, surface inspection and position detection.
Otto Vision Technologies and Ovitec are sister companies to each other, with major customers from the automotive, stamping, glass and machine and equipment engineering sectors. The two companies employ a total of 32 employees and expect to earn approximately 8 million euros in FY 2018. The founders of the two companies, brothers Reinhard Otto and Gunter Otto, will continue to serve as managing directors.
Through this acquisition, Jenoptik will expand its position as a provider of production metrology and industrial image processing application systems.
